Welcome to ResonaTale. By using our service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

ResonaTale is an AI-powered platform that generates cinematic films from text descriptions, narrated using your cloned voice. Our service uses artificial intelligence including OpenAI, Runway, ElevenLabs, and Shotstack to create video content.

2. Account

You must be at least 13 years old to use ResonaTale
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
One account per person
You must provide a valid email address
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms

3. Credits & Payment

ResonaTale uses a credit-based system. $1 = 1 credit
Credits are purchased through Stripe and are non-refundable once purchased
Credits never expire
Minimum purchase: $10
If a film fails to generate, credits are automatically refunded to your account
We do not offer subscriptions — you pay only for what you use
Prices are in USD and may be subject to local taxes

4. Film Pricing

Shorts — 30 seconds · 3 credits
Short Film — 1 minute · 5 credits
Standard — 2 minutes · 10 credits
Feature Film — 3 minutes · 15 credits

Films are created from a text story description. AI generates the screenplay, scenes, voice narration, and background music automatically.

5. Voice Cloning Consent

By recording and submitting your voice, you:

Consent to having your voice cloned using AI technology (ElevenLabs)
Confirm that the voice you submit is your own
Understand the cloned voice will be used to narrate films you create
May re-record your voice at any time from your profile
May request deletion of your voice data at any time by contacting us

You may not submit voice recordings of other people without their explicit written consent.

6. Content Ownership

You own the films you create and pay for on ResonaTale
You grant ResonaTale a non-exclusive license to store and deliver your content
AI-generated content may not be unique — similar prompts may produce similar results
You are responsible for how you use and distribute your films

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ResonaTale to create content that:

Is illegal, harmful, or promotes violence
Contains hate speech, discrimination, or harassment
Impersonates real people without their consent
Contains explicit sexual content involving minors
Infringes on intellectual property rights
Spreads misinformation or deepfakes intended to deceive
Violates any applicable law or regulation

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.

8. API Abuse Prevention

Film generation is rate-limited to prevent abuse
Automated or bot-driven usage is prohibited
We monitor for unusual activity and may suspend accounts without notice

9. Service Availability

ResonaTale is provided "as is." We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. AI-generated content quality may vary. Film generation times depend on server load and third-party API availability.

10. Refund Policy

Purchased credits are non-refundable
If a film fails to generate, credits are automatically refunded to your account balance
We do not offer refunds for films that complete successfully but do not meet expectations, as AI output varies

11. Referral Program

You earn 5 credits when a referred friend creates their first film
Referral abuse (fake accounts, self-referral) will result in credit removal and account suspension

12. Data & Privacy

Your use of ResonaTale is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We comply with GDPR (European Union), CCPA (California), and applicable data protection laws worldwide.

13. European Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland:

We process your data based on your consent and contractual necessity
You have the right to access, rectify, delete, and port your personal data
You have the right to withdraw consent at any time
You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
Data transfers outside the EEA are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses
Your voice data is processed with your explicit consent under Article 9 GDPR

14. International Users

ResonaTale is available worldwide. By using our service, you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for all international data transfers.

15. Intellectual Property

The ResonaTale name, logo, and platform are owned by ResonaTale. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform. The AI models we use (OpenAI, Runway, ElevenLabs) are owned by their respective companies.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResonaTale shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of ResonaTale after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of significant changes via email.

18. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. For European users, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply where they offer greater protection.
